Job Description Summary Exalt Academy is seeking a passionate and certified High School ELA Teacher to teach literature, writing, and communication courses, including at least one section of advanced or AP-level English. The ideal candidate will inspire students to read deeply, write with purpose, and speak with confidence.

Qualified Candidates Must:
- Be certified to teach English Language Arts in Arkansas
- AP Certification is preferred
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned reading and writing instruction
- Build students’ skills in analysis, composition, and discussion
- Use data to differentiate and target instruction
- Create a classroom environment of inquiry and reflection
Duties Include:
- Teach high school English, including at least one credit-bearing advanced course
- Develop curriculum aligned to state standards and college readiness goals
- Guide students through literary analysis, essay writing, and oral presentations
- Provide meaningful feedback and track student progress
- Participate in professional development and collaborative planning
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Must be certified in English Language Arts for secondary education in Arkansas
- AP Certification preferred
- 1–3 years of teaching experience preferred
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with writing rubrics and digital literacy tools
- Experience using learning management systems and formative assessments
- Ability to engage students through multimedia and differentiated strategies
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a classroom or instructional setting for extended periods and regularly move throughout the classroom, school building, and campus.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel or stoop as needed to support instruction and student supervision.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move classroom materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to operate classroom technology and instructional equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and school leaders and respond appropriately to student and school needs.
- Ability to supervise students during classroom instruction, transitions, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned activities.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
