Qualified Candidates Must
Maintain high expectations for every student and create a structured, positive classroom environment.
Deliver standards-aligned ELA instruction using Amplify and Exalt’s Explicit Instruction practices.
Provide strong instruction in reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, fluency, and foundational literacy skills as student needs require.
Use assessment data, including mCLASS and classroom assessments, to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
Differentiate instruction and provide targeted small-group support based on student need.
Support English learners by intentionally developing academic language and providing access to grade-level content.
Establish clear classroom routines and use positive behavior supports to maximize instructional time.
Work collaboratively with grade-level colleagues, Academic Coaches, and school leaders.
Be responsive to coaching, feedback, observation, and professional development.
Duties Include
Plan and deliver daily ELA instruction aligned to Arkansas standards and the district-adopted Amplify curriculum.
Use Explicit Instruction practices, including modeling, guided practice, checking for understanding, and purposeful independent practice.
Administer and analyze required assessments and maintain accurate student progress data.
Participate actively in PLCs to analyze student work, identify learning needs, plan instruction, and respond when students have not yet mastered essential standards.
Provide intervention and enrichment based on student performance.
Maintain timely grades, lesson preparation, student records, and other required instructional deliverables.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for growth.
Participate in required professional development, coaching, meetings, school events, and assigned supervision responsibilities.
Education & Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Valid Arkansas teaching license appropriate for the grade level required, or eligibility for an approved Arkansas licensure pathway.
Elementary or ELA teaching experience preferred.
1–3 years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred.
Technical and Instructional Skills
Familiarity with high-quality literacy curriculum and standards-aligned instruction.
Ability to use student assessment data to plan and adjust instruction.
Ability to use digital instructional, assessment, and communication platforms.
Strong classroom organization, documentation, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Amplify ELA and mCLASS preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a classroom or instructional setting for extended periods and regularly move throughout the classroom, school building, and campus.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel or stoop as needed to support instruction and student supervision.
Ability to lift, carry, or move classroom materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to operate classroom technology and instructional equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and school leaders and respond appropriately to student and school needs.
Ability to supervise students during classroom instruction, transitions, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned activities.
